Streaming Quality and Buffering
“It keeps buffering” is one of the most common messages resellers see. Buffering usually means the player is not receiving data fast enough to keep a smooth playback buffer—not that the subscription is “broken” by default.
Bitrate and bandwidth
HD and Full HD streams need sustained download speed headroom. A rule of thumb many partners share with users: at least ~25 Mbps for a stable HD experience on one TV, more if several devices use the same connection. Real-world Wi‑Fi often delivers less than the ISP’s “up to” number, especially on 2.4 GHz or congested channels.
Latency vs throughput
High ping matters more for gaming than for one-way video, but packet loss and jitter on Wi‑Fi or VPN can still cause stalls. Suggesting a wired Ethernet test, or moving the box closer to the router, often resolves “it only fails at night” reports.
What you can document once
Build a short FAQ: recommended speed, how to run a speed test on the TV’s network, when to try a VPN on or off, and how to clear app cache. That reduces repeat tickets and keeps expectations aligned with how internet TV actually works.
